Personally, I didn’t think it would happen to me… I didn’t really think at all… Outrageous tans with reflectors, baby oil/iodine… but at age 58, there it was, twice. I don’t know if I was “lucky” and “caught it in time”… I’ll never know. But I do know this. There will never be a moment of doubt when ever I have an unusual ache or pain anywhere in my body… it will always possibly be a third melanoma recurrence. I remain thankful for the 5 years I have been on the planet instead of a statistic and for what is left of my left ankle. I hope that the people who get this message help to spread the word.
